The NFL doesn't like to mess with tradition, while doesn't do much good for football fans, who once again have to sit through a Detroit Lions game on Thanksgiving. The second game of the day, Oakland at Dallas, doesn't have much appeal either.
Football fans can be grateful the NFL started to allow the NFL Network to televise a Thanksgiving night game, as the Giants at Denver is the best game of the day.
Not surprising is that Green Bay is the team receiving most of the public action today. What is surprising is that Oakland and Dallas are essentially even in the number of bets, as our Denver and New York.
There are 12 college basketball games, along with a pair of NBA games and two hockey games on today's slate, along with the traditional Texas vs. Texas A & M college football game.

For the second straight week of Monday Night Football we have a team returning to its old stomping grounds. Last Monday it was the Baltimore Ravens returning to Cleveland, while tonight we have the Tennessee Titans making a return to Houston as they face the Texans.
The Texans are favored by four and the over/under is 48.5.
The public is backing the road team, no doubt in part to the Titans' impressive win over Buffalo last week.

The National Football League is 0-for-2 this week. After a dreadful Monday night game between Cleveland and Baltimore an equally uninspiring contest between the 4-5 Miami Dolphins and the 4-5 Carolina Panthers awaits fans tonight. The Panthers have been bet heavily and are now 3.5-point favorites. The over/under has dropped to 42.
Fortunately, there are better match-ups on the schedule tonight, including an interesting college basketball game between North Carolina and Ohio State, along with several decent hockey games.

One of the problems of creating the Monday Night Football schedule in advance for the entire season is that sometimes you end up with games that aren't all that appealing. Tonight is a prime example, as the Baltimore Ravens visit the Cleveland Browns.
I'm not sure if the league thought there would be some appeal in the current Browns taking on the old Browns, but this game isn't one that will draw plenty of viewers. The Ravens are double-digit favorites despite being on the road.
In the NHL, New Jersey will attempt to match the best start ever on the road, as the Devils look to go 10-0 away from home, but will have to get past a tough Flyers squad to do so.
