Week three was a great weekend to be an "over" bettor in the National Football League, as 11 of the 16 games went over the posted total, while four games went under and the Giants and the Redskins fell right on the number of 41.
The strangest game, at least from an over/under standpoint, was the Chicago Bears and the Dallas Cowboys. With the score tied 3-3 at halftime, those betting under 41 looked to be in great shape, but a 38-point explosion in the second half brought the over home.
Don't expect to see the trend continue for long, however, as the oddsmakers will be making some line adjustments shortly.
