The loudest cheers when the Boston Red Sox defeated the Cleveland Indians in Game 7 of the ALCS probably didn't come from the fans at Fenway Park, but most likely came from the executives at FOX, who were looking at broadcasting the lowest-rated World Series of all-time, had the Indians advanced to the Fall Classic. The Red Sox will guarantee an audience, even if a portion of them are Yankee fans rooting for the Rockies.
The Red Sox are huge favorites to win it all, as bettors will have to lay more than 2-to-1 odds to back Boston, while those taking Colorado will win about $19 for every $10 wagered.
Both teams come into the series on a roll, most notably the Rockies, who are on an amazing 21-1 run, but will have to deal with the effects of a nine-day layoff.
