For many people, Thanksgiving has always been a day for football and families, with the Lions and the Cowboys a mainstay of any family gathering. The advent of satellite television has changed that to an extent, as today one can watch a number of college basketball games, along with four NHL games, and a pretty good college football matchup between USC and Arizona State.
While there's nothing wrong with spending the day watching sports, be sure to spend plenty of time with loved ones, as sports will be around forever, while your loved ones will not.
