A full slate of college bowl games awaits football bettors today and one of the big stories is the number of players who were ruled ineligible to play. Most people know that Florida State is going to be without 26 players, but flying a bit under the radar are the three starters Clemson will sit out, the eight players (no starters) Fresno State will be without, and even the two receivers California will not start, but will let play in today's game with Air Force.

The suspensions have made my numbers for the Florida State game meaningless, as is the case with the injury to Oregon quarterback Dennis Dixon. With Dixon, I had the Ducks penciled in as 6-point favorites.

Florida State is getting bet heavy this morning, as the line has dropped to 7.5 or 7 in some places, while Marshall, Chicago under the total, and New Orleans over the total have been popular choices in basketball. Calgary is receiving plenty of action in the NHL.
