Free Sports Betting Pick Update

Thursday January 24, 2008
Wow. When things are going bad, things are going bad. When checking the site during halftime of the Indiana vs. Iowa game, I noticed the free picks page updated just fine, but the blog on the front page did not, so not everybody was likely to check for the day's selections, which naturally, are 6-0 with Iowa +16 pending as I type. Those who have the free picks page bookmarked were probably fine, but others who check the front page may not have clicked to see if the picks page was updated. If you're in this category, don't worry, we'll have plenty of winning days ahead.

Some may wonder why give out seven selections while in the midst of a 3-8 slump, but after I was hired to the run the site, I still had paperwork to fill out, a background check, etc., but worked on the site in a trial run and to help get the bugs worked out. That included daily updates similar to those we have now. Naturally, I had some winning streaks, and several losing streaks, and found the best way to snap out of a losing streak was simply to give out all of the games I wager on, as opposed to just one, which is what I've done the last few days. It all goes back to my thoughts about losing streaks and if you cut back on the number of games you wager on, you tend to keep the losers and exclude the winners.

The free picks page is usually updated about 6:45 p.m. EST, giving me as much time as possible to check all the latest line moves, where the money is coming in and the sports service plays. Naturally, I don't like to be on the same side as the general public. Check back Thursday around 6:45 p.m. EST for the day's plays at Free Sports Betting Picks in the Sports Gambling 101 section of the site.
