Let's get to the big game first... sports bettors are continuing to favor the Giants and the Over today, and the total has climbed to 55 at Bodog, Sportsbook, and ABC, while the majority of the other books still have the total at 54.5.

Bobdog and SIA have the Patriots favored by 11.5, while Pinnacle, Olympic, and ABC have the Patriots -12.5. The majority of other places have the game posted at 12.

The public is still of the Giants, with 64-percent of the money coming in on New York, while the over is now accounting for 65-percent of the money wagered on the total.

More sports services have been coming in on the Patriots today, although the overall tally still shows the Giants with a 46-37 advantage. Services continued to favor the over and the tally is now 29 services on the over, compared to 14 on the under.

Weather for the game is expected to have temperatures in the mid- to upper 50s, with a chance of light rain and winds blowing around 15 miles-per-hour.

In basketball action, yes, there are really basketball games today, the public is on North Carolina, Temple, Wisconsin, and Niagra in college hoops, and fairly split in the Dallas at Detroit NBA contest, as well as the NHL game between the Rangers and Montreal.

Line moves have been fairly small, with the total on the Pistons game dropping several points to 184 at many places, although a couple of 185s are still out there. In college hoops, the total in the Temple game has climbed two points to 131, Loyola has dropped from 10.5-point favorites to eight-point favorites, and the total on the Loyola game has climbed several points to 136.5.

Sports services have been pretty well split in the baskets, with the Pistons the most popular choice.

For today, we have two selections, including one in the Super Bowl, and they can be found at Free Sports Betting Picks in the Sports Gambling 101 section of the site.
