There have been some significant line moves in the NBA today, although several are in reaction to injuries, as the Cavs are now 3.5-point favorites over the Celtics with news that Kevin Garnett is out. Ray Allen is officially listed as questionable. The total in the Memphis game dropped 4.5 points on news that Michael Redd is going to miss the contest. The line in the Los Angles at New Jersey game opened LA -4.5 with a total of 203.5, but is now LA -7 and 210.5 on word the Gasol is expected to play for the Lakers.
In college basketball, there hasn't been much in the way of line movement, even if the way of totals, with the Southern Illinois total the lone exception, as the toal has jumped three points to 119.
The public is backing Northern Illinois, Baylor, Purdue, and the Lakers in basketball, while the Flyers are receiving plenty of action in the NHL. A lot of money is also coming in on the NC State game to go over.
In college basketball, there are conflicting trends on Southern Illinois, as SIU is a hugely popular sports service selection, one that I would normally wager against, but also falls into a system that has been outstanding the past years, so I'm in no hurry to wager against them. (I'll share the system with you on Wednesday.)
The services have leans on Purdue and Northern Iowa and there are several that have sort of Game of the Year type of play on NC State.
For today, we have three selections and they can be found at Free Sports Betting Picks in the Sports Gambling 101 section of the site.
