Of all the wagers on tap today, the one that looks the most obvious would have to be the Mets and Pedro Martinez over the Florida Marlins. The oddsmakers obviously thought so, as well, making New York a hefty -210 favorite. But surprisingly, the line has come all the way down to -187, which is a good-sized drop, especially for this type of situation.

One of the things we must do as bettors, is to ask ourselves why the line has moved. In this case, it's highly unlikely that it is the public backing the Marlins, but instead it's the guys with the big bankrolls.

It will be interesting to see what happens, as it's quite possible the Marlins get hammered, but if they do, they'll take some of my cash down the drain with them.

Baseball picks, along with hockey picks, will be posted in the forum until May 1, which is when my wager size increases to normal. I'm mainly posting baseball picks for those who like the action and want to have a little riding on the games.

Tonight's schedule is a bit small, with not a lot of line movement. The total in the Milwaukee game has climbed 4.5 points to 209, which is the only really significant move of the day.

The public is backing Florida in college hoops, along with Houston, Philadelphia, and the Hornets in the NBA.

The sports services are taking it easy for the most part and enjoying their success from last night's college basketball game. By success, I don't mean they all had the correct side, but instead mean that the game fell so close to the spread and the total that all the services can claim to have won, or at the very least, tied. There are several big plays on the Ottawa Senators and one handicapper has his Revenge Game of the Year on the Phoenix Suns.

Tuesday's basketball plays are up and you can find them at Free Sports Betting Picks in the Sports Gambling 101 section of the site.
