Lakers Fighing for Their Lives

Tuesday June 17, 2008
The NBA Finals move back to Boston tonight where the Celtics look to put away the Lakers, although this time the shoe is on the other foot for the boys from Beantown. Instead of being favored by one, or even the underdog as was the case in the second game, the Celtics are favored by 4.5 or 5 points, depending on where you bet. The over/under is holding at 191 to 191.5.

The majority of sports services so far appear to be on the Lakers, which is never a good thing for those who want to back Kobe and Company, although they have to be right sometimes. The under is also a popular with most sports services. (For those new to the site, we usually go the other way when the majority of services are on one side of a game).

Nearly two-thirds of the bets have come in on the Celtics so far, and the bettors have a slight preference for the under, which makes sense, as Boston bettors probably believe the Celtics will win the game on the strength of their defense.

Today's play on the main site is in the NBA game Free Sports Betting Picks located in the Sports Gambling 101 section of the site.
