White Sox Look For Fourth Straight
No manager in baseball gets as much flack as Chicago's Ozzie Guillen. But any time rumors of his dismissal start to swirl, it seems as though the White Sox will go a run, keeping their manager's job safe, for a while at least.
Chicago has won the first two games of its four-game series with the Kansas City Royals, and sends Javier Vasquez to the mound tonight. The hard-throwing right-hander has hit a bit of a slump, as his E.R.A. has risen from 3.43 to 4.37 over his last six starts, as he's given up four or more earned runs in five of the six outings.
The White Sox will be opposed by Brian Bannister, who also comes in not at the top of his game, allowing 14 runs in his past two starts. The Royals have struggled against right-handers this season, sporting just a 25-39 record.
