U.S. Expected to Capture Softball Gold

The United States softball team has dominated the competition since softball became an Olympic event, and the women from the U.S. are heavy favorites to do so once again. The U.S. returns most of its core from 2004, when it outscored the opposition 51-1 in capturing the gold medal.

The oddsmakers know that the U.S. is likely to win once again, so they're asking you to lay an awfully steep price. Is it worth it? We'll look at that question in U.S. Expected to Capture Softball Gold in the Betting on Other Sports section of the site.
