When it comes to Monday Night Football, sometimes we get good games, sometimes we do not. But tonight should be one of the better games of the season, as the Philadelphia Eagles visit the Dallas Cowboys in an NFC East showdown. Both teams need a win to keep pace with the New York Giants.
The Eagles have won the last two times they visited Dallas and they have plenty of confidence heading into this game, as the Philadelphia newspapers have been showing. Still, it's never easy to get a divisional win on the road over a team like Dallas.
The bettors have been favoring the Eagles, as the line has gone from Dallas -7 to Dallas -6.5. Although it's just a half-point move, it looms rather large, as it takes the game off of one of the key numbers in the NFL.

I know both teams looked real good in Week 1 but the Cowboys schooled a better opponent in the Browns than the Eagles did in the Rams. Now that the spread is 6.5, I would definitely expect the Cowboys to cover the spread. Not that the Cowboys don’t have a big fan base but I think the betting #s are schewed by the amount of die-hard Philly fans putting money on the game out of loyalty and not strategy.
