Late Games Galore

Sunday October 5, 2008
There are several intriguing match-ups on tap this afternoon in the NFL, with the surprising Buffalo Bills at the top of the list, as they travel to face Arizona today. The sports services are all over the Cardinals and as a result, Arizona is now favored by two points and the line may reach 2.5 as game time approaches.

While this would appear to be an ideal situation for the Cardinals to pull off the victory, it's extremely hard to put your money on the same side as almost everybody else. It's all part of the guessing game that takes place this time of year, as on paper at least, the Bills should probably be the favorites. A number of bettors will see Arizona favored and think it's a "trap" to get you to bet on Buffalo and therefore will bet on the Cardinals. Others will think the oddsmakers are trying to trick them into betting into the trap and be tempted to take Buffalo.

Another interesting game is New England at San Francisco, as the Patriots are favored by 3.5 points over the improved 49ers. The Patriots are favored by reputation alone in this game, but that doesn't mean they won't be able to cover the point spread. A number of services are on both sides, with a small lean to the 49ers.

There are plenty of other games, including the baseball playoffs and the NHL match-up between Pittsburgh and Ottawa, so sports gamblers should have an enjoyable day.

Today's late plays are up and can be found at Free Sports Betting Picks located in the Sports Gambling 101 section of the site.
