Betting Baseball's Championship Series

The league championships get underway tonight, as the Los Angeles Dodgers travel to face the Phillies in Philadelphia. The first-game pitching match-up is a good one, as Derek Lowe, perhaps the best pitcher in the game since mid-August, faces off against Cole Hamels, who was solid all season long.

The Phillies swept the Dodgers in a four-game series in Philadelphia in August, returning the favor, as the Dodgers swept the Phillies several weeks prior to that in a series in Los Angeles.

Boston and Tampa will meet in the American League Championship Series, as the Rays look to prove their 10-8 record against Boston was no fluke. The Rays had the best home record in baseball, but the Red Soz have a huge advantage in big-game experience.
