It's been a couple of great days for bookmakers taking bets on the baseball playoffs, as the "can't lose" teams - the Dodgers and the Red Sox - did exactly that. The Red Sox dropped the last two games against Tampa Bay at Fenway Park as large favorites, while the Dodgers lost to the Phillies as huge favorites on Monday, when Joe Torre's decision to remove Derek Lowe early and save him for Game 7 backfired in a big way, as the Dodgers' bullpen blew a late two-run lead.
The Phillies will try to close out the series tonight with left-hander Cole Hammels, who held the Dodgers to a pair of runs over seven innings in the opening game of the NLCS. The Dodgers will counter with Chad Billingsley, who was lit up by the Phillies in Game 2, allowing eight runs in just over two innings.
The early line on the game was Phillies -120 and the total was 7.5.
