Will Games Live Up to Hype?

Saturday November 1, 2008
There are a number of huge college football games today, with Texas vs. Texas Tech and "The World's Largest Cocktail Party" between Georgia and Florida, the marquee match-ups. Both games promise to be entertaining, but will they come close to matching the pregame hype?

The Longhorns opened as six-point favorites, but the line was quickly bet down and is pretty much 3.5 at most shops. The total has dropped three points and is now at 72.5.

On the other side of the coin, Florida opened as 5-point favorites and are now favored by a touchdown at most places. Several sportsbooks are still at 6.5, so shop for the best line.

Oregon State has been bet heavily this week, moving from 11.5 to 15.5, Georgia Tech has gotten plenty of action, as Florida State was a small favorite and now GT is favored by 2.5. Kansas State is another squad popular with bettors today.

In addition to college football, there is the usual array of NBA and NHL games.

Today's college football plays are up and can be found at Free Sports Betting Picks located in the Sports Gambling 101 section of the site.
