The illustrious career of Brett Favre could come to an abrupt ending today, as the Miami Dolphins travel to New York to face the Jets. The Jets looked to be in good shape just a few weeks ago, but have really sputtered down the stretch and will now need some help to make the playoffs.
On the other side of the ball will be Miami's Chad Pennington, the man the Jets let go to make way for Favre to become the team's starting quarterback. In one respect, both have something to prove today, although the high winds in New York may make that a bit difficult.

I fully expect him to have a much better season next year, but I’d rather have KC or Ratty (with a cheap veteran backup?) and $10m to spend on upgrading other areas of the team than Favre, even if his performance is better than 2008.
