Friday's Bowl Previews

Friday January 2, 2009
Three games are on tap today, with the Cotton Bowl and the Sugar Bowl the two biggies, while East Carolina and Kentucky will battle it out in the Liberty Bowl.

Texas Tech is favored by four points over Mississippi and oddsmakers are expecting a high-scoring affair, as the total on the game is 66.5 points, although that is down from the opening number of 71 and has stayed fairly constant over the past few weeks.

East Carolina has been bet up to a 3-point choice over Kentucky and the total is 42, while Alabama opened as an 11-point favorite over Utah and the number has dropped to Alabama -9. The total on the game is 45.5.

The public is backing Texas Tech and Alabama by fairly large margins and East Carolina to a lesser extent.

We'll look at all the games today at Friday's Bowl Previews located in the football section section of the site.
