College basketball's conference tournaments pick up steam today, as the Pac-10 begins play, along with the first games of the Big-12, and others. The Big East moves into the second day, and will be hard-pressed to top the first, as DePaul and Marquette were able to pull upsets.
The conference tournaments are a slightly different animal than the regular season, and bettors need to be aware that games don't always play out how they did during the regular season.
Still, it's a fun time of year for bettors, a number of whom will be checking scores all day at work, if they didn't call in sick to begin with, although the majority of bettors are likely to save their sick days for the NCAA Tournament.
