Baseball bettors who track umpires are no doubt looking forward to this evening, as several of the umpires with large discrepancies are calling balls and strikes. Pittsburgh and Kansas City have umpires who have seen the home team win a large number of times working their games, while under bettors have no doubt noticed that the umpires working the Cleveland, Detroit and Kansas City games have seen at least 65 percent of their games go under the total. The lone over umpire, Jeff Nelson, is working the Oakland game.
One of the best games of the night will be in Los Angeles, where Derek Lowe faced his old team. Lowe enters the game with a five-game winning streak, but Wolf has pitched well for the Dodgers all season, while Boston and New York is always a good game.
