tonight's Monday Night Football game certainly doesn't need anymore hype. In what will likely be one of the most watched events ever shown on ESPN, the Green Bay Packers travel to Minnesota to face their longtime quarterback Brett Favre.
The Vikings opened as 3- or 3.5-point favorites, but have received nearly two-thirds of the wagers on tonight's game, so the line has climbed to 4.5 at most sportsbooks. The total is at 46.
As much as Favre would like to beat his old time, the Packers are just as anxious to beat their old quarterback, so the perceived revenge angle doesn't really play a factor, as both teams have something to prove.
The oddsmakers knew the public would be on the Vikings with a relatively low opening number, and the bettors haven't disappointed.
