The Major League Baseball playoffs get started today with a trio of games and the other series will get started on Thursday.
The first game of the day will be Colorado at Philadelphia, and while the Rockies were one of the hottest team down the stretch, they have been average against left-handed pitchers this season, which isn't what you like to see when facing Cliff Lee or Cole Hamels. Lee has been bumped up to start the first game, with Hamels slated to throw on Thursday.
The Twins and Yankees will play the second game today and CC Sabathia is an amazing -380 (risk $38 to win $10) over Minnesota's Brian Duensing. The Twins were just 28-32 against left-handed starters this year, while the Yanks were 36-18.
The Cardinals and the Dodgers meet in the final game of the day in what could be a great series. The Cardinals have the edge in starting pitching, while the Dodgers have the better bullpen and are a better hitting team from top to bottom.
The Cardinals have been a thorn in the Dodgers' side in recent years and Los Angeles has the chance for a bit of redemption.
