The National League League Championship Series will begin in Los Angeles tonight, as the Philadelphia Phillies take on the Dodgers in a rematch of last year's NLCS. The Phillies won last year and may be even better than they were a season ago.
But the Dodgers have improved, as well, as one of those improvements will take the mound tonight in Clayton Kershaw. Despite his 8-8 record, Kershaw has been strong down the stretch and has one of the best fastballs in baseball.
The Phillies will counter with Cole Hamels, who has labored some after his strong season last year.
The Dodgers are slight favorites to win the game and are favored nearly everywhere to win the series.
