Nothing against the fine people in San Diego, but there really aren't many football teams who enter the season with hopes of playing in the Poinsettia Bowl. While the game is a decent one and well organized, both teams had higher aspirations coming into the season.
As it stands, both teams will be out to make amends for season-closing losses, which is one reason they're playing in this game and not one later on in the bowl season.
The California Golden Bears are favored by three points and the total is hovering around 52.5.
