Today is the one day of the regular season that many non-NHL fans will tune into watch a bit of hockey, as the Winter Classic has been a good draw for the past few years. While the game doesn't have the star power of the past two seasons, the attraction of watching hockey at Fenway Park will be enough to lure some people to the TV, even if for just a bit.
The Boston Bruins meet the Philadelphia Flyers in this year's version of the Winter Classic and the game could be a good one. The Bruins are favored by -140 and the total is 5.5.
The Bruins have been solid at home this season, although it's a bit tough to classify this as a true home game, as one of the advantages to playing in your home arena is getting to know the bounces off the walls, etc., and both teams will be in for a learning process today.
The Bruins are currently fifth in the Eastern Conference, while the Flyers are sitting in ninth, two points out of the final playoff spot.
