It's only fitting that the final spot in the NFL playoffs is going to come down to the last regular season game of the year, as the Cincinnati Bengals visit the New York Jets in the Sunday Night Football game. It's also fitting that they could very well make the playoffs because of a team resting their key players--a growing trend the NFL is going to look at, as it compromises the integrity of the game, not to mention the gambling implications.
For the Jets all they have to do is win to make the playoffs. If they lose, the season is over. But the oddsmakers know this and have made the 8-7 Jets 10-point favorites over the 10-5 Bengals.
