The 2010 Fall Classic

This year's World Series is one of the least hyped Fall Classics we've had in a while. The lack of a big-market team will likely translate to lower ratings, which is too bad, as the clash between Texas and San Francisco is intriguing.

Both teams feature solid starting pitching, with the Rangers having a little more offense, which, along with Cliff Lee, are the two primary reasons Texas is favored to win the Series. As of Wednesday morning, The Greek had Texas -145 to win it all, while the Giants were +130.

The opening match-up of Lee against Tim Lincecum is about as good as it gets, with Texas -125 and a total of 5.5

Lee was better at home during the season, while Lincecum was actually better on the road and there are no shortage of trends that can be used to support either side, such as Texas going just 6-13 when favored by -125 or less on the road, while the Giants were 7-8 against American League teams this year, compared to Texas' 14-4 mark against the National League.

Today's World Series play is up and is at Free Sports Betting Picks located in the Sports Gambling 101 section of the site.
