Connecticut-based sports betting radio personality Joseph Schlosser, better known as Sebastian, was among 13 people arrested this week by Connecticut state police in an illegal sports betting operation.
Schlosser, who co-hosts the radio show Pregame Blitz, also runs Sebastian Sports Picks, a sports service that charges $4,300 for a year's worth of selections.
The article detailing the arrest can be found here.
The arrest came as no surprise to many, including Hartford Courant sports columnist Jeff Jacobs, who talks about it here.
Schlosser wasn't the only person having legal troubles related to sports betting, as James J. Moretina became the 10th person to plead guilty to betting related crimes in Missouri. The Department of Justice press release regarding Thursday's guilty plea by Moretina can be found here.
All-in-all, a rough week for sports bettors.
