Many sports gamblers have an unrealistic perception of what a successful winning percentage is. Much of this is due to the dishonesty of many sports services, but a winning percentage in the in the mid- to upper-50-percent range is actually quite good and will show a profit over the long run.
The best sports handicappers in the world would gladly take a 58-percent winning rate over the course of the year, so don't believe that anything short of 60 percent is a poor performance.
