Creating a 1-Run Line

Many baseball bettors believe there are only two ways of wagering on a baseball team. You can either take them on the money line or on the run line. With a money line bet all you need is for the team to win the game, but many times you will find yourself risking a of of money to win a little when taking prohibitive favorites.

If you place a wager using the money line you can cut the amount you risk drastically, but you need your team to win by two or more runs. If they win by one run, you still lose your bet.

But there is a way you can reduce the odds and not lose your bet if the favorite wins by one run. That's by making your own 1-run line and we'll describe the process in Creating a 1-Run Line in the Baseball Betting section of the site.
