We first ran this article, and the companion article mentioned inside, last year and they were both well-received. They have both been updated with the most up-to-date results and should be required reading for anybody who places a wager on preseason football.

Many successful gamblers are more worried about missing the preseason than the regular season because teams have definitely followed a pattern over the years and we'll look at those in detail in both articles.

All of the percentages were quickly calculated by using the Stat Attack NFL Preseason program, which many readers received absolutely free for Christmas. Once again the people at Stat Attack will send you the program for free for a limited time to celebrate the likely labor settlement. Simply e-mail Whitey at whitey@statattacksports.com and he'll get you taken care of.

I have never really cared much about the preseason, but you have convinced me to give it a try this season. Of course I will only bet home dogs. 60% is plenty for me.

That is also not in the system I use

But if it all pans out I will be adding it for myself to use again next year.

Allen, you are the BOMB dude. Keep up the good work.

Who’s your preseason pick for the Super Bowl?

I gotta go with the Saints on a gut feeling.
