The 10-race NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup begins on Sunday in Detroit and the Chase format has definitely made it a bit more exciting for race fans. No longer does NASCAR have to worry about runaway Sprint Cup titles, as all 12 drivers are capable of capturing the title.
The Chase for the Sprint Cup format practically guarantees that the series championship won't be decided until the final race of the year, which keeps fan interest at a high level for the balance of the race season.
