Most college football handicappers will simply give the home team three points when going through the handicapping process. There's really nothing wrong with that, as the oddsmakers pretty much use the same figure, although it's not always accurate.
Simply put, there are times when a team playing at home receives more benefit from playing at home than a field goal. We'll look at that in College Football Home Field Advantage located in the Football Betting section of the site.
