Odds to Win the 2011 NFC Title
So far this preseason, we've looked at the odds on how many games each individual team will win for both the AFC and the NFC.We then looked at the odds for winning each individual division, beginning with the AFC and then moving to the NFC.
Now, we'll move on to the odds on winning the National Football Conference. Odds on winning the AFC can be found here and next week we'll look at the odds to win the Super Bowl.
All numbers are posted with the Money line so make sure you have an understanding of how that works.

The Green Bay Packers are favored to return to the Super Bowl and should have no problem getting out of their division. A faltering Chicago Bears team, a rising Detroit team and an unpredictable Minnesota team are all that stand in their way.
The Eagles are the class of the NFC East, but do face the toughest competition with the Giants, Dallas and Washington all in the division.
New Orleans and Dallas are a cut above Tampa and Carolina in the South and one should win the division with the other getting a wildcard spot. Winning the division is a definite advantage, however, for home field advantage.
The NFC West is still essentially a toss-up, with any of the teams having a shot to walk away with the division title. The 49ers are getting the slightest of nods from the oddsmakers.
Looking For Value
We've touched on the concept of finding value in your wagers before, but a good explaination can be found here.As is often the case, betting the team you believe has the best chance of winning isn't always the best wager you can make. A bettor has to take into consideration the odds being offered and compare those to the actual odds of winning.
Since the favorites are often an underlay, meaning their odds are lower than their true odds of winning, I very seldom go with the favorite when it comes to futures wagers.
Looking at the odds being offered it's hard to take Green Bay at less than 4-to-1, and while the Eagles might be a nice play at that price, you'd like to see at least 5-to-1 on Philadelphia.
One team that offers decent odds and has a solid shot at winning is New Orleans at better than 7-to-1. The Saints have the experience of having just been in the Super Bowl two years ago and should likely go 5-1 in the division, which will set them up nicely for a high seed in the playoffs.
The Falcons should give the Saints a run for the division title, but I believe New Orleans will be able to pull it out.
The lines on futures bets vary more than they do on regular games, so be sure to check as many different sportsbooks for the best odds before placing your wagers. The above odds were taken from The Greek, which traditionally offers some of the best odds on futures and is always highly rated.
