Betting the 2009-10 College Football Bowl Games
The 2009-10 college football bowl schedule is out and overall, the bowls did a pretty good job of coming up with worthwhile teams to meet. Just some quick thoughts on several of the games now, as we will look at each one more closely as the games get nearer. Those of you who read through last week's newsletter, know that betting underdogs of 10 or more points has been profitable over the past five years, so Wyoming, SMU and Cincinnati deserve long looks.
One factor that is often overlooked is strength of schedule during the regular season. We'll touch on that more next week, but be a bit wary of teams who put up impressive stats against less-than-stellar teams that are playing a team with a less impressive numbers, but played much stronger opposition. Several that stand out at first glance would be Penn State, BYU, Wisconsin and Utah.
