2010 BCS Championship Game
The prevailing thought on the BCS Championship Game is that it is going to come down to Texas' offense against the defense of the Crimson Tide. While that's true to an extent, don't forget that what the Alabama offense can manage against Texas is equally as important.Texas' defense is better than it typically gets credit for, while the same can be said for Alabama's offense, which should make for an entertaining game.
Alabama will try to establish the running game with Mark Ingram and if the Longhorns can slow him down, it will be up to Greg McElroy to try and get the job done through the air. McElroy may be a competent quarterback when the Tide is having success on the ground, he's not exactly the quarterback I'd want to pull the weight of a team.
Colt McCoy's passing ability is well known, although he typically doesn't get the credit he deserves for his mobility, something that should come in handy against the Tide's pass rush.
The line of the game is Alabama-4 and the total is 46.
This is the type of game that could go either way, and when that happens I'll typically side with the underdog, which I'll do in this case and grab the Longhorns in the final college football game of the year.
