2010 GMAC Bowl

Somehow in the middle of all the BCS Bowl games, Central Michigan and Troy managed to sneak in there with the GMAC Bowl. While neither team has the drawing power of a Texas or an Alabama, that doesn't mean that this might not turn into a decent game.

Troy should have the crowd on its side, as the game is being played just 150 miles from its campus, while Central Michigan will traveling close to 1,000 miles to be here.

Central Michigan quarterback Dan Lefevour is one of those quarterbacks like Hawaii's Timmy Chang in that it seems like they've been at the school for 10 years. Finally a senior, Lefevour had another solid season, throwing for more than 3,000 yards and 27 touchdowns.

Lefevour was also the team's leading rusher, gaining 700 yards and scoring 14 times on the ground, making him one of the better two-way threats in the country.

Troy quarterback Levi Brown had a big season, throwing for 3,800 yards and 22 touchdowns, but doesn't have the mobility of Lefevour. Troy is adequate at rushing the football and its top two running backs combined for 18 rushing TDs.

The two teams seem to be pretty evenly matched, as Troy's stats are a bit misleading after getting waxed by Florida 56-6 and losing to Arkansas 56-20. Central Michigan does have a 29-27 early season victory over Michigan State to its credit, but was completely shut down by Arizona, 19-6.

In a tight game, we'll lean to the underdog with the home crowd and call for Troy to pull off the minor upset.
