2010 Orange Bowl

The 2010 Orange Bowl will be an interesting match-up between the offense of Georgia Tech and the defense of Iowa. Georgia Tech's options caused problems for opponents all season long, but the Hawkeyes have one of the top defensive units in the country. Iowa is especially strong against the pass, which means they're likely to stick with single coverage for most of the game and worry about the Yellow Jackets' option attack.

Georgia Tech lost to Miami, Fla., and Georgia this season, while Iowa dropped a three-point decision to Ohio State and lost to Northwestern.

Georgia Tech is favored by 5.5 points and the total is 50.

Again, it appears to be a game where the public is on the underdog and the smart money is on the favorite, as GT has gone from a 3.5-point favorite to 5.5 with Iowa receiving the majority of the wagers.

One factor that can't be overlooked is the extra preparation time Iowa will have to defend the option. That could very well be the difference in this game.

Offensively the Hawkeyes are going to try and pound the ball at Tech's defense, which allowed a lofty 5.0 yards per carry.

If the Hawkeyes can run the ball with a degree of success, have to believe they'll be in this game until the very end.

We'll give Iowa and the under the nods in this one.
