When looking for an online sportsbook or casino there are give primary details a prospective customer should look for: financial status, wagering ease, ease of making deposits and withdraws, betting options, and bonus programs.

Of these five, obviously financial status is by far the most important, as it doesn't matter how many bonuses a sportsbook or casino will give you or how easy it is to place a wager if they don't pay.

Here we will take a look at Intertops, one of the longest-running online sportsbooks and casinos in the business.

Intertops Background

Intertops was one of the first online sportsbooks, having an online presence since 1996, and the company has been accepting wagers since 1983. The online casino has been present since May of 1998.

Located in Antigua, Interops is licensed in Barbuda, Antigua, and in the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawake, located in Quebec, Canada. Interops is a member of the European Betting Association, as well as the Antigua Offshore Gaming Association.

Financial Status

Intertops has been historically reliable when it comes to making payouts, although there have been several periods where there have been brief delays, most notably with Neteller withdraws in 2005, but players received their payments in a reasonable time. Now, Intertops is extremely efficient in payouts, one of the best in the business. No sportsbook and casino could stay in business for as long as Intertops has without a reputation for meeting its obligations. Players can feel safe to have their money tied up with Intertops.

Sportsbook Wagering Ease

Intertops has an easy-to-navigate site and has made improvements in the way it looks. Things are easy to find and new players shouldn't have any problem placing their wagers. The system can be slow when trying to place a wager right before the start of a big contest, but that is one area Intertops has been working on to improve and has made significant strides in lately.

Intertops truly is a world-wide sportsbook and offers more betting options than a person will ever need. If you've ever had the urge to bet on hockey games from Slovakia or a Greece Super League soccer match, Intertops has you covered.

Intertops accepts online wagers as low as $1 and is primarily geared for the smaller bettor, making it a good choice for the first-time sports gambler who doesn't want to invest too much money to get started.

Casino Wagering Ease

The casino games are numerous, but not complicated at all, so bettors should have no problem being able to play right away. The various games are broken down in different categories, making it easy to find the exact game that you want to play.

There are the various table games, such as blackjack, craps, roulette, Pai Gow, and baccarat, along with numerous others. The best way to view all the games being offered is to visit the Intertops site.

Intertops has an impressive array of video games, including several large progressive jackpots if those suit your fancy. In mid-April of this year, Klaus E., from Finland, became an instant millionaire when he placed a 50-cent bet on the Mega-Moolah Progressive Slot Machine and walked away with $5.5 million.

So far can't get winnings back, Member Keltoi

I am in the process of trying to fulfill Intertops requirement that you submit a lot of documentation in order to obtain your winnings. So far no luck. I have a connection at the US licensing Indian outfit that licenses them and will inquire and next posting will let you know if they accept all the documents I am having my documentation sent professionally to satisfy their withdrawal policy. If they don't then Intertops is a criminal enterprise although so far their onsite play is excellent. I will soon find out as having my documentation sent this week.
