Spurs Look to Stay Alive

The San Antonio Spurs look to keep their season alive tonight, as the host the New Orleans Hornets in Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinals. The home team has easily won each of the first five games in the series, including the Hornet's 101-79 pasting of the Spurs on Tuesday, in a game which San Antonio led at halftime.

The line on the game is San Antonio -7 and the total is at 184. So far, the public is pretty much split down the middle, as are the sports services, with both teams receiving plenty of attention. The services are also fairly well split on the total, as well.

Today's play is in the San Antonio game and you can find it at Free Sports Betting Picks in the Sports Gambling 101 section.

Free Sports Betting Picks For Tuesday

A pair of games is on the tonight's NBA playoff slate, as the San Antonio Spurs travel to New Orleans to renew their series with the Hornets, while the Pistons and Magic do battle once more.

The public is backing the two home teams quite heavily, as both Detroit and New Orleans have received roughly two-thirds of the money bet in each contest.

The lines have remained fairly stable, however, with very little movement in either the side or the total in either game.

Can the Jazz Slow Down the Lakers Again?

The Los Angeles Lakers travel to Utah today for the pivotal fourth game of their playoff series. After winning the first two games handily, the Lakers had their struggles in Utah's victory on Friday. A Utah win would certainly make the series interesting, while a Laker victory would have the series all but over, as the Jazz would have to win twice in Los Angeles to advance to the next round.

The opening lines on the game at Pinnacle were Utah -5 and a total of 210.5, but the public has been pouring money on Los Angeles and the game is currently at Utah -1 with a total of 211.

Of all the money wagered on the game so far, slightly more than 70-percent has been on Los Angeles, and the Lakers have been getting most of the attention from the sports services, as well.

The betting public is on the Hornets pretty big tonight, as New Orleans has received roughly two-thirds of the bets in the game, while New Orleans is a slight favorite in the betting.

Today's play is in the Utah vs. Los Angeles game and you can find it at Free Sports Betting Picks in the Sports Gambling 101 section.

Baseball Pitcher Form Reversal

One of the aspects that makes baseball handicapping so difficult for a number of people is trying to guess when a pitcher will have a good start or a bad start. Far too many baseball gamblers make the mistake of climbing aboard the "hot" pitcher and going against the "cold" pitcher, when in fact that's the ideal time to do the exact opposite.

Here is a short little article describing one method of predicting when pitchers are due for good or bad performances. Read Baseball Pitcher Form Reversal in the Baseball Betting section of the site.

Free Sports Betting Picks For Wednesday

The Utah Jazz will try to avoid going down 2-0 tonight when they visit the Los Angeles Lakers in the second game of the Western Conference playoffs. Phil Jackson's teams have never lost a playoff series after winning the first game and the Jazz can ill afford to drop the first two contests.

The Lakers won the first game by a score of 109-98, covering the 7-point spread in the game's final few minutes, on the strength of a parade to the foul line, as Los Angeles shot an amazing 46 free throws in the contest and made 38 of them.

The line of the game is Los Angeles - 7 and the total is 211.

Once again, the public is behind the Lakers, as 70-percent of the money wagered on the game has been on Kobe and Company, while the sports services have been split pretty evenly on the contest.

Today's play is in the Los Angeles Laker game and you can find it at Free Sports Betting Picks in the Sports Gambling 101 section.

Free Sports Betting Picks For Sunday

The surprising Atlanta Hawks will try to shock the world today, as they travel to Boston for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Many expected the Celtics to cruise past Atlanta in four games, five tops, but the Hawks have been getting the job done.

The public likes Atlanta's chances to at least cover the 14-point spread, as 60-percent of the money wagered on the game has been placed on Atlanta.

The Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Lakers open their playoff series, and not many people are giving Utah much of a chance in the opener, as 73-percent of the dollars wagered have been on the home team. As a result, the line has reached eight points at SIA and Bodog, and others may follow suit.

Sunday's plays are up and you can find them at Free Sports Betting Picks in the Sports Gambling 101 section.

Free Sports Betting Picks For Friday

Regular visitors to the site may have noticed a change in the essentials, as the free picks page is now listed there. What that means is that I'll skip the occasional daily posting of the blog, but will continue to update the free picks page.

After some thought, I'm going to hold off on baseball plays for another week or so, as I still don't feel comfortable enough to make my standard-sized baseball wagers quite yet.

For Friday, there are three NBA games, and the Celtics, Cleveland, and Houston are the public choices. There is also one NHL game, a pair of AFL games, along with a full slate of baseball contests.

I'm going fairly easy on the plays tonight, instead spending a bit of time trying to make sense of Saturday's Kentucky Derby, where I'll have some sort of selection.

Friday's plays are up and you can find them at Free Sports Betting Picks in the Sports Gambling 101 section.
