Free Sports Betting Pick For Tuesday

Tuesday January 29, 2008
Tuesday brings a moderate betting schedule, with a fairly small slate in college basketball, but quite a few NBA games, and the return of the NHL.

The public has been busy today, and is favoring Boston, Phoenix, and San Antonio for NBA sides. In totals, Wash vs. Toronto over, Golden St. vs. Houston over, and Atlanta vs. Phoenix over have been popular choices.

In college basketball, Ohio State, Ohio, Marquette, and Iowa State have been getting the money from the public.

There are no true sports service consensus plays today, with Ohio and George Mason getting some attention. Ohio looked to be a good bet, but too many services along with the public are on them for my liking, while George Mason is being favored by services on the basis of their undefeated home record and by being in a triple-revenge pattern.

In the NHL, St. Louis and Dallas have seen big line moves in their favor during the day. Another team has seen a good-sized line movement go against them, the New Jersey Devils, who fall into a system that has produced an excellent winning percentage, but laying -200 is not the way to make money in the long run. The Devils opened as -230 and are now at -200.

In college basketball, the more significant line moves include Southern Illinois, who opened up as 16-point favorites and are down to 14; the over in the Ohio State vs. Penn State game, which climbed three points to 127; and the under in the Alabama vs. Tenn. game, which opened at 157.5 and is now at 154.5.

NBA line moves have been Boston, which opened at -7 and is now down to -5.5; New Jersey opened at -7 and is now at -5; Chicago, which opened as 2.5-point favorites, is now at -4.5; and the under in the New Jersey vs. Milwaukee game, which has moved from 190.5 to 188.5.

For today, we have one NBA selection and it can be found at Free Sports Betting Picks in the Sports Gambling 101 section of the site.
