Big Games on Schedule

A number of big games are on the sports slate tonight, starting with the biggest, Game 5 of the American League Championship Series between Boston and Tampa Bay. The Red Sox are in a must-win situation and send Daisuke Matsuzaka to the hill, where he will face Scott Kazmir. Bettors liking the Red Sox are being asked to risk $152 to win $100, and the over/under is 9.

Several college football games are on tap, including an interesting match-up between TCU and BYU. Both teams have potent offenses and exceptional defenses, making for the possibility of a low-scoring affair. Bettors seem to think that will be the case, as the total has dropped from 47 to 43.5.

The Horned Frogs are now the favorite, despite the fact that more bets have come in on BYU, making it a contest where the so-called sharp bettors are on the home team, while the public is on BYU. It's typically better to be on the same side as the sharp players, but the public has been winning its share of games this season.

Florida State travels to North Carolina State in the other game.

Several good match-ups take place in the NHL tonight, including a meeting between the league's two Golden Boys, as Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals travel to Pittsburgh to face Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Other key match-ups are Vancouver and Roberto Luongo trying to slow down the Detroit Red Wings and the Dallas Stars trying to win on back-to-back nights when they travel to St. Louis.

Today's plays are up up and can be found at Free Sports Betting Picks located in the Sports Gambling 101 section of the site.
