Monday Night Madness

Most of the attention tonight will be focused on what appears to be a lackluster affair between the Cleveland Browns and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Browns are down to their third-string quarterback, Ken Dorsey, and as a result, the Eagles have been bet up to 15.5-point favorites and the line is likely to climb to 16, or higher, as we get nearer to game time. The total on the game is 40.

There is a chance of rain during the game, but the temperatures will be in the low 50-degree range, so there will be no chance of snow.

A number of sports services are having big plays on the game to go under the total, but I'm a little hesitant to go that way, as if the Browns really struggle with Dorsey, there could be some short fields for the Eagles.Since McNabb was benched in the team's loss at Baltimore, he has thrown for 451 yards and five touchdowns without an interception, and the Eagles are suddenly back in the playoff picture.

Still, it's hard to wager on a 15.5-point favorite in the NFL, as backers of the Indianapolis Colts found out yesterday, with the Lions covering the large point spread.

Instead, we'll turn our attention to another nationally televised game tonight, this one between the Colorado Avalanche and the Detroit Red Wings.

Today's Versus Network NHL game is today's play and can be found at Free Sports Betting Picks located in the Sports Gambling 101 section of the site.
