Don't Forget the Other Sports

Saturday January 3, 2009
With the NFL playoffs finally here, it's easy to forget about the other sports, which is where sports bettors can often find their best wagering opportunities on a daily basis. The NFL lines are as sharp as they have been all season, but too many times we get caught up in the excitement of the big games and have to wager on those contests.

There are more than 80 other games played today between the NBA, NHL, and college basketball. It's a safe assumption there will be several better wagering opportunities than in the playoff games.

I'll probably pass both NFL games, which some die-hard bettors would consider being un-American, and look elsewhere for my plays. (If forced to bet, I'd probably go with Arizona and SD.) I didn't see any NCAA plays that gave a decent advantage today, so I'll move over to my favorite viewing sport, the NHL, for today's play. Today's Washington Capitals vs. New York Rangers game is today's play and it can be found at Free Sports Betting Picks located in the Sports Gambling 101 section of the site.
