The NCAA Tournament field will be whittled away to 16 teams after today and the public is expecting the favored teams to be the ones to move on. All eight favored teams are receiving the bulk of the money at sportsbooks, even in those games with small point spreads. Several other games have seen the totals climb several points, as bettors tend to have short memories and several games snuck over the total in the final minute on Saturday.
Lines are already out for several games in the next round and North Carolina is favored by 8.5 over Gonzaga, Duke is favored by two over Villanona, and U Conn is 6.5 over Purdue.
