Odds to Win Super Bowl 46
It's only fitting that our final NFL futures betting article will be on the odds of winning Super Bowl 46. We started out by looking at the odds of winning each individual division, beginning with the AFC and then moving to the NFC.Then we took a look at the odds of winning both the AFC and the NFC. Naturally, you'll get the best odds of any of the wagers for selecting the winning team of the Super Bowl, but that goes hand-in-hand with the increased difficulty of selecting the correct team.
There are two different trains of thought regarding Super Bowl wagers and they are dependent on any other futures wagers made, such as winning the division or winning the conference. An example would be having already taken San Diego to win the AFC, I could either place an additional bet on the Chargers to win the Super Bowl or I could think if the Chargers don't win the AFC who is most likely to do so and wager on that team in the event San Diego doesn't make it.
Another thing about Super Bowl odds is they are high enough so that you can justify wagering on several teams. Even if you took the two favorites, New England and Green Bay, you would still be looking at returns of greater than 2.5-to-1 on your money.
As a general rule, Super Bowl odds are twice as high as those as to win the conference, with some minor fluctuations.
All numbers are posted with the Money line so make sure you have an understanding of how that works.

Who to Bet On
A number of bettors will likely take New England at 6-to-1 odds and you really can't fault them for that. There are certainly worse wagers you could make.As a rule, I typically stay away from the favorites when it comes to futures bets and look for a team offering better value. In this case I'll stick with my choice to win the AFC, the San Diego Chargers, who I believe will have the easiest path to the division title.
If taking a longshot, I'd be tempted by the odds on the Colts, assuming Peyton Manning returns quickly.
If looking for a huge longshot, I might have a stab on one of the NFC West teams, as somebody has to make the playoffs from that division and will enter the playoffs seeded as a division winner, giving them a home game against a wildcard team.
Here is where I always remind people to shop for the best odds available and we'll give several examples. Even though The Greek offers better odds for the majority of teams, there are certain teams where you will receive better odds at Intertops.
Baltimore is +1350 at The Greek, but you can get +1600 at Intertops, while Dallas is +1615 at The Greek and Intertops is offering the Cowboys at +2000. Some of the differences are more pronounced, such as Detroit, where The Greek is offering +2050, but Intertops is offering a more enticing +4000 on the Lions. Other teams, such as Minnesota and Kansas City go from +3550 and +4050 at The Greek, respectively, to +5000 at Intertops. It definitely pays to get the best odds possible.
