The 2009 Meineke Car Care Bowl did pretty good for themselves attracting Pittsburgh and North Carolina to the game. The Panthers are favored by 2.5 points and the total is 44.5.Pittsburgh has a potent offensive punch with running back Dion Lewis, who rushed for over 1,600 yards and 16 touchdowns, and quarterback Bill Stull, who threw for 21 scores and was intercepted just eight times.
North Carolina doesn't have a real threat on offense, with a pair of rushers in the 600-yard range and quarterback TJ Yates threw for 12 touchdowns, but was intercepted 14 times.
While Pitt has a definite edge on offense, things are much closer on the defensive side, where the Tar Heels probably rank the slimmest of edges.
North Carolina has several other factors in its favor, such s playing in its home state, but have to believe Pittsburgh's advantage on offense will be the difference here.
